Before ZenAura, I spent 15 years working for the Federal Government, managing education programs at a national level. I was proud of my work—but the pace was relentless.
My schedule was always full, and I constantly put my professional responsibilities ahead of my own well-being. Over time, I became mentally and physically exhausted.
My mental health was at risk, and I didn’t even realize how much I needed rest—until I finally paused.
That pause came in the form of a head spa treatment. It was simple—but transformative.
For the first time in years, I felt myself relax. I felt seen, nurtured, and restored. That experience sparked something in me: a desire to give other women what I had so rarely given myself—true care. That’s how ZenAura was born.

With over 35+ years of experience in the hair salon business, my day to day mission is to make sure women take care of their hair and give it the treatment it really deserves. Over all these years I’ve seen first hand how influental your emotional state is when it comes to having strong, healthy hair. I always remember cutting the hair of a woman who just lost her daughter and seeing it compress and become rock solid. That’s just one example of how important it is to have a clear mind if you want to have clean hair.
